Working closely with our product development team and field testers, we have created a lightweight dummy weighting just 185g that not only maintains the size, but also all the characteristics of a traditional 1lb gundog training dummy along with its feature rich and functional design.
With a flat bottom base, making the Ultra-Light Dummy easy to stand up for those visual marks or line training. The Ultra Light Dummy is perfect for all types of dummy training with the benefit of being less than half the weight of a 1/2lb dummy. This aids the dog and does not hinder it when retrieving over fences and stone walls
No loss of distance will be experienced when throwing the dummy due to its carefully distributed weight, combined with its long throw cord and ergonomically designed easy grip ball toggle.
Being blue in colour, the Ultra Light dummy is easily marked and seen by the dog to aid in a successful retrieve over greater distances. Evidence shown in field testing was that dogs ability to mark these dummies increased considerably. This resulted in increased confidence on the out-cast and success with picking the dummy. Compared to standard canvas dummies of the same size, the Ultra-Light Marking dummy sat 30% higher on water, allowing the dog to successfully mark and retrieve. Due to the lighter weight, dogs tended to be more inclined to deliver straight to hand and not shake.
